*another baby card*

I *love* Beth's marker tutorials over at The Saltbox Sampler. I am so intrigued at how an artist's mind works... how they "see" things, and how they translate what they "see" to paper. The whole process amazes me, so today I thought I would try some of Beth's tip. I re-created the sheep card I posted yesterday and incorporated a few of Beth's suggestions. I tried giving "movement" to the image by using background color. I love the look of the background color, but I wasn't so successful at the "movement" part. I'm going to have to work on that one. I also tried adding colored pencil, and in the close-up below you can see how I used a brown pencil around the sheep, moon, and stars.

My attempt falls sadly short of the amazing samples Beth created on her blog, but it was fun trying something new... and you can't learn something new unless you try, right?

A Muse *sneak peeks* are coming tomorrow!!!
